The first tip is to collect your daily bonuses everyday from your band wagon. You will never know what might show up because you need a lot of items in order to complete the small goals and missions. For example, I somehow got paint last time from my daily bonuses. You will need the paint to build your own house.

The second tip is to utilize the marketplace. You can get a lot of gold bonuses by planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables. I like to harvest wheat in the beginning because you get a lot of extra gold bonuses. However, you can get a lot more choices as soon as you add more neighbors to your homestead.

The third tip is to have as many neighbors as you can. The more neighbors you have, the higher your level will be, and the more energy and horse shoes you will have. How can you get many neighbor requests everyday? There is a section in the Zynga forum where you will find a lot of Frontierville neighbor requests.

The last tip is to clobber as many snakes, groundhogs and bears as you can. They may be annoying because they take up a lot of energy but they also give you a lot of bonuses so they are worth clobbering.
